About Me

I am a game designer and recent graduate of Torrens Uni. My time studying has reinforced my love for games and helped me find harmony between my analytical and creative sides, mostly as I apply empathetic design to game design principles. I have love of testing and prototyping my ideas through visual scripting and analysing playtest feedback to create games that are mechanically and narratively harmonious. This has been most notable in my roles on Deep Climb and Jolt as designer/programmer where I was able to jump between both roles while working on the same project.

In 2018 I bought my first DSLR camera, gained a Cert IV in photography and spent years taking still life and urban landscape photos. The influence of lighting and composition on leading the eye through an image became a new lens through which my perception of the world was altered, especially as I explored the Adelaide CBD and focused on the built environment. This stoked an interest in wayfinding and how humans navigate, which I was able to practice and develop in my role as level designer on TroubleMakers.

Making my own games has had an irreparable impact on my life and I couldn’t be more excited to work in this industry. Games are a combination of so many older forms of art with a new layer of interactivity which I think can reach players in ways that leave them permanently altered. I am looking to learn new skills and work with new people to make games that will leave a lasting impact on the people who play them.
